LOVE WHAT YOU DO!

KEY TAKEAWAY: The main reason to do what you love is YOUR HAPPINESS. Finding that place doesn’t only provide contentment, but makes you more motivated and better equipped to do the best job possible. You won’t just be happier – you'll be more productive. I can’t express how these words have wrung true for me this past month.

Here at Cloud Business Services, we have implemented some changes which included a title change for me to Bookkeeping Services Manager. It is not the title change that made me happy but more the work I am doing. With my new fancy title, I am now learning so much professionally and personally, and I get to share that newfound knowledge with my coworkers for me personally seeing them grow is where I have found my passion and happiness.

I had been given this great opportunity 5 years ago to work for a small company that couldn’t offer me much pay wise but they could offer me more family time, at the time I wasn’t sure it was the right choice for me but fast forward to today and I would say it’s the best choice I’ve made in my professional career. I not only have gotten to learn so much from our fierce leader but I have had the chance to travel and grow into a role that I now get to teach others and see them blossom into their own happy place.

It seems to teach others comes naturally to me and seeing others have that aha moment is even more gratifying. In the last couple of weeks, I have had many compliments on my teaching style and didn’t realize how happy that actually made me and the passion I felt in teaching others to learn what I already have. It was that aha moment for me that made me realize that loving what you do is a real energy boost.

When you do what you love and love or like what you do, you want to experience it fully. Make sure to enjoy your time! Relish in your accomplishments, and be proud of yourself. The more you appreciate what you are doing the more you’ll love it.

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do." ~ Steve Jobs

Until next time,
