Passion Vs. Motivation who is the real winner? Trick question. It’s important to take a pause and think about how far you have come this year and what you want to achieve.
If you're struggling with the motivation, the chances are you weren't really passionate about what you were doing in the first place. That's okay!
Passion is the love for the things that you're doing. The need to keep it in your life. The enjoyment. Motivation is the WHY, the reason you have to keep reminding yourself to carry on. If you lack passion, your reason becomes harder to find. You are far more likely to achieve your goals if you are passionate about them.
“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you”
- Oprah Winfrey
So, what happens when you run out of motivation? The trick is to keep one reason why you started in the first place on a piece of paper or on something you look at every day to remind yourself that you can do it and this is why.
“Act as if what you do makes a difference. IT DOES” - William James
If you're struggling with the motivation to do something, try and find a love for it, or maybe all you really need is a day to get back on track.
When you lose motivation, don't be hard on yourself, just think about what it is that makes your heart beat a little faster or makes you feel that little bit better and that will be all you need to keep going forward.
