Ideal for: Businesses that prefer a more hands-on approach to their bookkeeping and are comfortable staying closely involved in the process. This option works well for owners who keep their records organized, respond quickly to questions, and prefer to schedule compliance services separately as needed.

Includes:

  • Financial Operations

    • Weekly reconciliation (deposits, payments, expenses & GST/HST)

    • Weekly bank feed and receipt monitoring & processing

    • Monthly bank account reconciliation

    • Monthly financial statements

  • Financial Insight & Performance Monitoring

    • Monthly financial statements
      (historical reporting generated by QuickBooks Online)​

  • Strategic Financial Guidance

    • Not included. Strategic guidance or advisory services may be scheduled separately as needed.​

  • Compliance & Year-End Support

    • Not included in the monthly plan.

    • GST/HST preparation, year-end adjustments, and financial statement preparation may be scheduled separately if required.

  • Communication & Turnaround

    • 5 business day response time for client communication (message through client portal)​

  • Workflow Expectations

    • To maintain efficient monthly bookkeeping, timely responses to questions or requests for clarification are expected during the bookkeeping cycle.

    • Items that remain unresolved after the month has been closed may require additional work to categorize or re-categorize and may be billed separately.

Communication & Boundaries

  • Bookkeeping communication is handled once per week during your scheduled bookkeeping cycle.

  • We may respond sooner, but please note there are no emergencies in bookkeeping — steady, methodical work keeps your books accurate.

  • Bookkeeping focuses on the past — recording, reconciling, and reporting completed transactions.

  • Any requests related to forecasting, projections, or future planning fall under consulting and may be billed separately.

Billing & Pricing

 

We aim to bring every client onto fixed monthly pricing for transparency, consistency, and budgeting ease.


Your price is based on the volume and complexity of your books, and you’ll always know what’s included — no surprises.

Sometimes, though, one-off projects, clean-ups, or special requests don’t fit a monthly model. In those cases, hourly billing may apply:

Hourly Rates

  • $85/hr — Regular bookkeeping or out-of-scope projects (completed by our Bookkeeping Department under supervision)

  • $150/hr — Bookkeeping Manager (Sandra) working directly on your file

  • $199/hr — Firm owner (Tanya) working directly on your books

  • $175/hr — Clean-Up or Rescue Work (completed efficiently using specialized tools, often in half the time)

  • Priority work: 1.5× the applicable hourly rate for expedited turnaround
